“Taunted”

Marcy flew in from New Mexico for her session today. She said that after she started following my After the Abortion photography series, she knew that she had to be a part of it.

This is the first powerful photo from her session. How many post-abortive women can relate to the taunts of the enemy (and from within) for years after their abortion? Thankfully, Marcy was able to find forgiveness and eventually relief from this great guilt that she carried for several decades. And now, God uses her to minister to other post-abortive women! I am amazed at how God can use the darkest times of our lives to bring about beauty and healing to many!

This photo is very powerful and leaves me in tears as I think about the moment of this capture. Marcy was actually calling out the name of her child, as she was reaching out to the doll. I had to take this photo with tears almost blinding my eyes. The grief is real…even after years of healing.

Marcy suffered greatly after having an abortion. Thankfully she was able to find forgiveness and eventually relief from this great guilt that she carried for several decades. Even so…she says there will always be a heavy weight, knowing what she did.

I am amazed at how God can use the darkest times of our lives to bring about beauty and healing to many. In Marcy’s own life, God is using her to minister his healing to other post-abortive women!
