“Out of the Ashes”
Many women experience great grief and guilt for years after an abortion. When Melissa shared her story with me, I could understand her pain…but then also the healing and cleansing she received when she looked to her heavenly Father for forgiveness.
She sure was a trooper for her After the Abortion session with me. She let me pour ashes all over her—and what a powerful way to express how she felt during that time! The image “Whiter than Snow” was inspired by Melissa’s words and a verse in the Bible that says, “Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.” (Psalm 51:7) These photos are a great reminder of the tremendous love of God that forgives us and gives us beauty for ashes!
